Has anyone tried Inet-TV Software? They claim you can watch over 1,000 channels free. Does it work?

Monday, April 19th, 2010

I am trying to find some software that I can use without getting a tuner or having cable, to watch TV on my PC when I travel. I’d like to know if anyone is currently using software like Inet-TV, if it works, and just how good it is.

Couldn’t find

I need software for a TV tuner (Pinnacle PCTV 100e). The one, which came with it works, but the show is jerky.

Of course I’d need free software for it (it should be a Win XP SP2 compatible one :-) ). The manufacturer said, this equipment (Pinnacle PCTV 100e) is very hardware-demanding. (At least 2 GHz CPU, etc… Mine is a 1,8 GHz Celeron P4.) With some other softwares, the picture was good, but there was no sound, and the original software used my CPU so much (100%), that it made my PC almost completely useless (it took 1-2 minutes for it to close the application) and the picture and the sound was very jerky. If there are no other options, I’ll buy a better CPU, but I’d prefer not to buy another.

I actually have the exact same tv tuner as you. When I first installed the software, the programs were jerky as well. What the problem actually is is that you need more RAM for your computer. RAM helps with loading and running multiple programs at the same time. The more RAM you have in your system, the smoother it will run. Just about every brand of computer has a customer support website that you can look up specifications of your particular make and model of your computer. Look up what type of RAM you need and buy that particular kind for your system and follow the instructions on how to install it into your computer. Your tv tuner, as well as your other programs will operate a lot smoother then. Good luck in getting it to work!

How do Tv tuner cards work on a PC?

Monday, April 19th, 2010

Do they work similar to a DVR? Where I can set software to record TV shows so that I can view them on my computer at a later date?

Do they save them in a familiar format, such as .avi or .mov or something that would require conversion to view on another computer?

Thanks for your help.
Re: Tell-me,
No I have not done a web search, I prefer utilitizing Yahoo Answers, to hear from other people’s real life experiences on my question topic.

If I get no results here, then of course I know I can find it on Google, it is just more fun to hear from real people on real topics instead of using instructional webpages.

Thanks for your comment though.
Quite surprised that no one on Yahoo Answers has used a TV tuner card in their computer.

have you done a quick web search for your questions??

Does that TV on PC software work? Can you really watch TV on your PC for Free?

Monday, April 19th, 2010

Need to save money with the recession and all. Really trying to cut expenses but also cannot afford to take the risk of purchasing something that does not work either. I am strongly considering buying TV on PC software but do not know which is legit and really works if any does at all? Has anyone tried this before? Can you recommend a legitimate company or software? Does Satellite Direct’s tv on pc software work? Is it worth the money? Is it true that you can pay one price for the software and not have to pay a monthly fee of any kind?

Hi Andrea,

There are plenty of websites online which offer Internet TV services. Although you cannot expect all of the channels that they offer in high quality like they say, you do get a couple of channels which is sufficient enough for me. So, it is worth checking it out. Keep in mind, however, that you do not get all the chanels at the same time. Some of them go offline once in a while. But check out http://offto.net/internettv_ce13/ for a review.

Where in Britain do we report suspected attempts of internet fraud, phishing, etc.?

Monday, April 19th, 2010

Recently received an unsolicited email for unlimited "satellite TV" via computer for a one-off payment of $40 to be sent on a webpage that isn’t secure. This is obviously a scam and they’re phishing for credit cards.

I want to report them to Police, but have no confidence in getting a serious response from my local office out here in the stix.

Anyone know who I should contact? Is it the Met in London?

Thanks folks.

Can watching a TV show via the internet (not live) still support the show?

Monday, April 19th, 2010

I’ve lately become hopelessly addicted to the show Chuck, a little embarrassing, I know. Anyway, I’m never around to watch it live, so I normally catch it the next day on Hulu. However, a friend told me that if I was a true fan, I’d watch it live since live viewers are what networks want to make continuing the show worth while.

So, is watching Chuck on Hulu offering any support?

if you watch it on hulu or any other well-known tv show site, yes, it will still support the show because it gets readings of who watches the show

What kind of laptop should i get?

Monday, April 19th, 2010

I am looking for a laptop. This will be used for capturing video from a television and video editing, that is it. I want to upload the videos to the internet when im done editing. So my needs in a laptop are internet connection, ability to store videos, and enough space to run a video editing software. This, in my opinion, is extremely basic however im looking for an opinion on the LEAST EXPENSIVE laptop that can do this.

i just got an acer aspire, does everythiong u want, i love it, $500 at staples
