i have a tv card tuner thing in my computer allowing me to play games consoles and watch tv but the software for it is rubbish and only displays it half the screen.

edit tryed the windows media player thing it doesnt work, also its a kworld internal tv tuner and im trying to play my wii on computer coz im tight of space

There seem to be several IPTV services found on the net at present that offer to transform your computer into a TV and give you access to 1000s of channels. Many offer a lifetime membership for $30 to $70. But I would hate to pay the money and find they are a scam. Here are some of the supposed providers:

I am NOT asking about the other type of IPTV that delivers TV shows via internet to a desktop box connected to your TV.
I did try http://free-satellite-network.com myself as they had a 14 day free trial. Once I got into it, I could not ever seem to navigate my way into the movie section. I ended up canceling my membership rather than trying to catch their non-24 hour tech support.
real.com/superpass is reliable. It is by one of the biggest internet companies (sort of). They are the ones that own Real Player. I would trust them.
The rest of them I would be a bit iffy about. Do some reaserch on them before you buy their software.
I saw this TV movie about the beach boys about seven years ago and I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find this mini series. It was titled "The beach boys: An american family." I don’t know of any online free movie sites where i can watch tv shows and TV series. If anyone knows these types of sites and/or knows where i can buy or find please contact. Thanks Tabasco9
if you are looking for multi-lingual tv, online tv social community, social tv network, internet tv stations, tv channels, free global internet tv, broadband channels, live webcast, customized tv programmes, After testing various TV software and visiting loads of sites. most of them offer a free trial or preview and then they make you pay to sign up, or are cluttered with ads. I think that is ridiculous… so ive done my research and have found a couple of really decent sites. The first one Id like to draw your attention to is (www.viewmy.tv) This site has almost 1300 channels from around the globe and counting. it is free to register and they dont ask for stupid details, just your username and email address. It actually streams live channels so you dont have to download any and they have a pretty easy way of finding the channel you want. You can search through genre, country, region or name of the channel. oh and there are no ads either. Check this one out. With over 1300 channels from hundreds of countries, loads of features like channel rating, user recommendations, live chat, profile pages and much much more.
I have the need to watch INTERNATIONAL television and have noticed a couple of sites that have what they claim is 3500 channels. You pay once up for the software and away you go.
I want to know if anyone has tried these programs if they are any good, and where can I get a lsit of channels from a particular country.

I am connected to the internet via proxy (college LAN). I know the proxy server and port. TVU and sopcast doesnt work on proxies. Please tel me a good software. (also for live cricket)..

Apple Inc. Chief Executive Steve Jobs took the wraps off a super-slim new laptop at the Macworld trade show on Tuesday, unveiling a personal computer less than an inch thick that turns on the moment it’s opened.
Jobs also confirmed the consumer electronics company’s foray into online movie rentals, revealing an alliance with all six major movie studios to offer films over high-speed Internet connections within 30 days after they’re released on DVD.
Always a showman, Jobs unwound the string on a standard-sized manila office envelope and slid out the ultra-thin MacBook Air notebook computer to coos and peals of laughter from fans at the conference.
At its beefiest, the new computer is 0.76 inches thick; at its thinnest, it’s 0.16 inches, he said. It comes standard with an 80-gigabyte hard drive, with the option of a 64GB flash-based solid state drive as an upgrade.
The machine doesn’t come with a built-in optical drive for reading CDs and DVDs, a feature Jobs says consumers won’t miss because they can download movies and music over the Internet and access the optical drives on other PCs and Macs to install new software. They can buy an external drive, however, that will retail for $99.
Trading in Apple stock was heavy Tuesday, the first day of the Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco. It fell 5.52 percent to $168.91 at midday.
The new laptop, which has a 13.3-inch screen and full-sized laptop keyboard, will cost $1,799 when it goes on sale in two weeks, though Apple is taking orders now. The company’s Web site is already touting the machine. The price is competitive with other laptops in its market segment.

Apple will have more than 1,000 movies for online rental through iTunes by the end of February, with prices of $2.99 for older movies and $3.99 for new releases. Users can watch instantly over a broadband Internet connection, or download and keep the movie for 30 days while having 24 hours to finish the movie once it’s started.
Apple is partnering with 20th Century Fox, Warner Brothers, Walt Disney, Paramount, Universal and Sony on the service, which will work on Macs, Windows-based machines, iPhones, iPods or Apple TV set-top boxes.
Jobs cut the price of Apple TV from $299 to $229 and announced new software that allows users to order movies through the device and play them directly on their TV sets, eliminating the need to route the content through a personal computer first. The software is free to existing Apple TV customers and will be included in new Apple TV devices shipping in two weeks.
Jobs also unveiled a string of new features for the iPhone, showing how users of the combination iPod-cell phone-Internet surfing device can now pinpoint their location on Web maps, text-message multiple people at once and customize their home screens.
Jobs also said Apple has sold 4 million iPhones during their first 200 days on sale.
The crowd applauded when Jobs demonstrated mapping upgrades to the iPhone. Other features rolling out Tuesday included the ability to switch around icons on the iPhone’s home screen. Users also can create up to nine home screens.
Jobs also unveiled new software for the iPod Touch music player. New models will have be able to process e-mail and perform new mapping functions.
