Received the offer thru email and it looks inviting! Any feedback or comments? Thanks!
You actually believe spam e-mail?
Bet you 3500 channels are all in foreign languages that you’ll never understand, and none you’ll ever actually WANT to watch.

has anyone ever downloaded or brought any satellite tv for your pc software which is offered on the internet, offerring anywhere from 1,000 to 3,000 channels, and if so does it show a good picture or does it work like the crap you get on your cell (streaming clips every few seconds) or does it show like regular tv (satellite quality).
Its a flat out hoax! These sites promise you world television and charge you for something that is totally free in the first place! These channels are freely broadcast on the net already! No need to pay and they are grainy and poor quality at best!
"I saw a website advertising software that’s supposed to give you free satelite TV on your PC. The program costs $40, but they claim it lets you watch hundreds of live worldwide channels free of charge. Is this a scam?"
Thanks,
Rima

You’ll get a number of "tv" channels, but not things like HBO or Discovery. You will get channesl from around the world, though not the best resolution. You can get NASA tv, some news programs and that sort of thing, but you won’t see the programs you get on your cable channels.
I downloaded it and it really sucks, the resolusion is very bad. I suggest you buy a TV card instead.

It is a scam. You don’t need to download software to watch TV on your PC. Read review of free sites that provide FREE streaming video:
http://www.scrubmoney.com/cut-bills/free-tv/
You don’t have to download anything to get free video online and it is actually safer not to download anything.
I just downloaded some software for recieving satellite tv on my pc. The only drawbacks that I have encountered so far is that most of the channels are foiegn and the wording is in another language and the specified channels that are shown can’t be reicieved i.e. HBO, Cinemax and some other movie channels. Nothing as far as local USA channels except C-span, lots of chrisitan channels and some junk channels. I feel I have been ripped off.
The one I bought on ebay is all in chinese, and some of the links just seem to mess you about, instaed of giving you what you expect. The only good thing is that I only paid a couple of pounds for it, so it’s no great loss. But I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else.
Is it for real that you can watch more than 1000 different channels, no matter where you are as long as you have internet access and just by buying this software and installing it in your computer?
Its a load of poopy.
Free
Free Internet Television is available from the Web, and is accessible without the need for a set-top-box, a specific carrier nor operator.
The greatest core theme of the free Internet Television model is that it is based on the same publishing model that exists on the Web: it allows access to an open platform, that anyone can access, use and build for, together with the development of open source software, open standards and formats.
Those that create valued and interesting video products have now the opportunity to distribute it directly to a large audience – something impossible with the previous television distributing models (closed software, closed hardware, closed network). The free model has been used around the globe by local and independent television channels aiming for niche target audiences, or to build a collaborative environment for media production, a platform for citizens’ media.
