Can I set my PC to record TV remotely via the Internet?

I’ve got a TV tuner card for my home PC, and it works really well. The software that comes with it (Freecom) is simple and user friendly and is very easy to set to record. Is there some software or something that would enable me to log onto a website from anywhere and set my home PC to record TV shows? Thanks

i’m sure there is but a easier way to do this is by using a vnc product such as team viewer or ultra vnc and remote to your pc .

i use team viewer and if there is something i need to record with my card (ati 9600 AIW ) i just do it that way

I believe there is no such software available for public right now.

But you can customize a software which can send signals from remote such as through internet. You can start the recording and stop recording the channels as you like.

For that your PC must be running during the recording. Or you need to put your PC in a network with one of your electronic gadgets is connected to computer and an electronic cicruit to switch on.

But it will be a typical task because you have to write deep program codings to enable set of protocols for choosing the channels, the quality, etc.,

Your question is opening a new path of technological thinkings and thanks for it.

    All my wishes to you.
