my tv tuner card didnot work in my pc?

i use a pinnacle tv tuner card. when i insert it into the pci slot and install it’s software, it shows that hardware failure. What i do?

Turn the PC off.
Remove the card and then reinsert it.
Make sure it is correctly seated in all the way.
Turn the PC back on.
If it still shows as a hardware failure, return it to your point of purchase.
