questions about pc tv tuner cards?

How do they work? Will I need satellite or cable service (DirecTV or Comcast for example)? And is it just plug it in, install the software drivers, and watch tv?

Most PC TV tuner cards can receive signal from a cable provider such as Comcast or AT&T’s Uverse service or over-the-air. If doing over-the-air TV and since all TV stations are broadcasting
digital now, make sure your tv tuner can receive it. If no then you must get that digital converter
box.
